The Seneca County Sheriffs Office reports that on Saturday around 1:59 am on State Route 96A in the Town of Lodi, Sheriffs Deputies arrested Greg S. Carmell, age 33 of 3 Eldorado Drive in Trumansburg, for felony driving while intoxicated. The arrest stems from a traffic stop that occurred around 1:40am on State Route 96A in the Town of Lodi after Deputies observed the vehicle that Carmell was operating to be traveling at a high rate of speed North bound on Townsenville Road. Deputies then observed Carmells vehicle traveling West on State Route 96A where it almost lost control. Deputies then effected a traffic stop where they learned that Carmell was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Carmell was charged with felony DWI, felony DWI .08% or more, failure to maintain designated lane, and speeding. Carmell was arraigned in the Covert Town Court where he was ROR’d and is to re-appear in the Lodi Town Court on tMarch 16th at 10:00 am.
