The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports that an investigation into an accident on Hydesville Road, in Palmyra has been completed.The investigation revealed that the operator of the vehicle, Craig Marriott, was traveling eastbound on Hydesville Road when he lost control of his vehicle and drove off the north shoulder of the roadway colliding with a drainage culvert. Marriott was traveling at an unreasonable speed for the road conditions at the time of the accident and upon further investigation that a bald tire on his vehicle could have contributed to the accident.Marriott was issued traffic tickets, but had been transported to Newark-Wayne Hospital for an evaluation of reported abdomen pain. East Palmyra Fire Department and Finger Lakes Ambulance assisted at the scene.
