The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports that Willie Smith, 57, of Lyons for driving while ability impaired by drugs.Smith was stopped on State Route 31 in the Town of Lyons for a vehicle and traffic violation. Smith was charged with driving while intoxicated – drugs, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, aggravated unlicensed operation third degree, and failure to obey a traffic control device.Smith was arraigned in the Arcadia Town Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 insurance bond. Smith is scheduled to appear in the Lyons Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
