On Thursday night around 6:19 pm, 26-year-old Ashlee Wheeler of Geneva was driving her 2001 Ford Focus on State Route 5&20 near Flint Road in the Town of Seneca when she noticed the smell of something burning in her vehicle.When Wheeler pulled over into a parking lot and exited the vehicle she noticed flames showing from the driver’s side tire.Gorham and Stanley Fire Departments responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. The vehicle was a total loss.It is unknown at this time what caused the fire.
