Falls man leaves scene of accident, charged with DWI

On February 15th at approximately 11:50 pm the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Scott Champlin, 22, of Seneca Falls for driving while intoxicated, and leaving the scene of a car accident.Champlin was charged with driving while intoxicated 1st offense, aggravated DWI, speed not reasonable and prudent, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.It is alleged that Champlin left the scene of a property damage accident following an incident on Noble Road in Seneca Falls. A resident on Noble Road called 911 reporting that Champlin caused damage to his property and left the scene. Champlin and his vehicle were later located on Cosad Road. Champlin was released on UTT’s and is set to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court on February 24th at 9:00 am. Seneca Falls Police were assisted by the New York State Police.
