Newark woman hospitalized after accident in Manchester

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that on February 13th at approximately 10:15 am Deputies responded to the report of a single-vehicle motor vehicle accident.Upon arriving on scene, on County Road 27 in the Town of Manchester, Deputies found a vehicle operated by Brenda Meyers, 56, of Newark off the east shoulder on it’s roof. The vehicle exited the roadway, and then rolled over on it’s top where it came to rest. Meyers was able to get out of the vehicle on her own, and she was later transported to Newark-Wayne Hospital by Finger Lakes Ambulance. Clifton Springs Fire Department assisted at the scene. Upon investigation, Meyers was issued a ticket for unreasonable speed due to the conditions of the highway. She will appear in the Town of Manchester at a later date to answer the charge.
