The Yates County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what authorities are calling an accidental death.Late Monday afternoon emergency crews arrived on-scene at 4593 Bath Road in the town of Barrington where they were called for an unresponsive child. First responders report that the two year old fell into a pond located on the family’s front lawn and was pulled out by the child’s mother. The child was taken to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital where she died from injuries sustained during the accident. Stay tuned to FingerLakes1.com as the investigation into this accident continues.
