Michael Anderson arraigned in Ontario Co.

Michael Anderson appeared in Ontario County Court Friday night after escaping police earlier in January. It is alleged that Anderson threatened a woman and two children with a long gun on January 17th and when Ontario County deputies attempted to stop him, he crashed his pickup truck at the intersection of Griffith and Toll Road in Phelps. He fled police on foot, at which time police say a Palmyra woman, Tina Cassidy, allegedly aided him by giving him a ride from the Fat Boys Pizza location in Phelps, where Anderson had been employed to an undisclosed location in Seneca County. It was also alleged Cassidy failed to report to authorities that she knew of Anderson’s whereabouts, after she learned of his fugitive status. Additionally, she allegedly allowed Anderson to make phone calls from her phone and then deleted them at that time.Anderson eventually turned himself in to state police at the southern border of Pennsylvania and was extradited back to Ontario County to face burglary charges in Geneva. On Friday night, Anderson, 29, was arraigned in court and was remanded to the Ontario County Jail on $100,000 cash bail, and $200,000 bond.
