Benefit for Waterloo native planned for Feb. 20

Friends and colleagues of Margaret “Mickie” Bennett are sponsoring a benefit to help her and her family cover expenses. Mickie Bennett is a Waterloo native and 1974 alum who has been fighting complications from liver failure for the last two months at Strong Memorial Hospital. The benefit will be held at the Seneca Falls Country Club, at 2790 Route 89 in Seneca Falls, on Saturday, February 20th from 3 pm-9 pm. A ziti and meatball dinner including salad, bread/butter, dessert, coffee, and water will be served from 3 pm-7 pm. Two bands, City Limits and J&J Classics, will provide music until 9 pm. In addition, there will be a raffle including baskets and other “big ticket” items. A cash bar will also be available throughout the duration of the event. At this time we are seeking help and soliciting donations for the following:• Dinner menu items (ziti, meatballs, bread, salad fixings, dessert, coffee, water) • Baskets and items for the raffle (gift certificates, any “big ticket” items, etc.)• Monetary donations or gift cards to defray food costs• Monetary donations for Mickie and her family• Volunteers to serve dinner and work at the eventIf you are able to assist us in any way, please call or email Tina Cahill at the contact information provided below.
