On Saturday at approximately 8:00 pm the Penn Yan Police Department arrested Carlton J. LaFave Jr., age 47 of Penn Yan, after a traffic stop in the Village.LaFave was observed driving on Keuka Street at 30mph in a 15mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated and a subsequent investigation revealed LaFave’s privelage to operate a motor vehicle in NYS to be revoked for a prior DWI conviction.LaFave was cited for speed in zone and misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation in the second. He was release on tickets and will answer the charges in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
