Geneva man arrested for selling crack

On Friday at about 2:25 pm the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested Calvin L. Butler Jr., age 41 of 326 Kauris Circle in Geneva, following an investigation into the sale and distribution of crack cocaine in the local community. The investigation concluded with the execution of a search warrant on Border City Road in the Town of Waterloo where Sheriff’s Investigators seized a quantity of crack cocaine packaged for sale, marijuana, United States currency, and a vehicle. Butler was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a class D felony, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.Butler was arraigned in the Waterloo Town Court before Judge Folk and was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on no bail. He is to reappear in the Waterloo Town Court on January 27th at 2 pm. Additional charges are pending.The investigation and arrest was a joint effort between the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, and Geneva Police Department.
