Covert crash ends with DWI charge – FingerLakes1.com Archive

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Saturday shortly after 1 am Deputies arrested 24 year old Ryan M. Trice, of 2789 Sylvan Road in Geneva Ohio, for DWI following a one car PI-crash on County Road 143 in the Town of Covert that occurred just shortly before midnight. Trice was traveling westbound when he drifted across the oncoming lane and into the ditch. Trices’ vehicle then rolled several times before coming to rest back in the middle of the roadway. Following further investigation, Trice was charged with Driving while intoxicated, Failure to submit to a pre screen device, speed not reasonable and prudent, failure to keep right, and moving from lane unsafely. Deputies arraigned Trice in the Romulus Town Court and he was committed to the SCCF in lieu of $5,000 cash bail and $10,000 bond. He is to appear in the town of Covert Court on a later date. Deputies were assisted on scene by the Trumansburg ambulance and Fire Dept.
