Willard man almost crashes into off duty cop, arrested for DWI

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that early this morning at 3:01 am Deputies arrested 22 year old Andrew J. Mcdonald, of 7021 East Lake Road in Willard, for Felony Aggravated DWI. The arrest stems from a civilian complaint at the intersection of State Route 96A and County Road 129 in the Town of Lodi where it is alleged Mcdonald was southbound on 129 and failed to stop at a stop sign, and almost crashing with an eastbound vehicle on 96A operated by an off duty Police Officer. Mcdonald stopped his vehicle on the shoulder of Route 96A and the off duty Officer contacted the Sheriff’s Office while he waited on scene. When Deputies arrived on scene, they discovered that Mcdonald was intoxicated and charged him with failure to stop at a stop sign, Felony DWI, and Felony Aggravated DWI for operating with a BAC of .18% or greater. Mcdonald was arraigned in the Romulus Town Court where he was ROR’d to appear in the Town of Lodi Court on a later date.
