South Seneca students selected for All-County Chorus

The All-County Choral Festival will take place on January 15th and January 16th at Newfield High School. Participating districts include, Dryden, Groton, Ithaca, Lansing, Newfield, South Seneca, and Trumansburg. The students who were selected to attend this year’s festival will work with guest conductors during the festival weekend. The Middle School Guest Conductor is Dr. Lon Beery. Dr. Lon Beery is the chorus director at Spry Middle School in Webster, NY. At Spry, he conducts six choruses. Dr. Beery has composed or arranged over 50 published choral pieces which appear in multiple choral music catalogues. The High School Guest Conductor is Dr. Todd Ranney. He is currently on faculty at Mansfield University and has appeared in over 100 opera productions throughout the Midwest. All of the students’ work with the guest conductors will culminate in a concert at 2:00 pm at Newfield High School.Participating students from South Seneca in Middle School include: Ellen Appleby, Abigail Alger, Chamberlain Bauder, Corrina Broadwell, Macy Bub, Catlin Cornish, Hailey Crane, Samantha Marion, Violet Meagher, Olivia Morton, Julia Rogers, Chloe Shaulis, Abigal Singer, Thomas SmalserParticipating from South Seneca in High School include: Sarah Albro, Soprano I, Nathaniel Bauder, Bass II, Sarah Corning, Alto I, Julia Diamond, Soprano II, Kathryn Hubbard, Soprano II, Marlea Jones, Alto I, Krystofer Mosher, Bass I, Amber Relyea, Soprano I, Emma Seamon, Alto I, Aden VanCleef, Bass I, Gemini Zajac, Alto II.
