The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on Friday at approximately 3:15 am Deputies arrested Devin J. Verkey, age 17 of 18 Ridge Street in Seneca Falls. The arrest stems from a traffic stop on Lower Lake Road in Seneca Falls. Verkey, who was a passenger in a motor vehicle, was charged with Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle and Criminal Possession of Marijuana 4th. It is alleged that Verkey possessed over 2 ounces of Marijuana and was consuming an alcoholic beverage while as a passenger in the vehicle. Verkey is scheduled to appear at the Town of Seneca Falls Court on February 25th at 10:00 am to answer to the charges. The driver was issued citations for Failure to Keep Right and Inadequate Windshield.
