Eighteen Wayne-Finger Lakes boys basketball teams were in action on Tuesday night, just 3 days before Christmas. The big story of the night comes from the FL West where the Naples Big Green edged previously undefeated Naples by 1 point at home thanks to Andrew Fleischman’s 21 point & 12 rebound effort. Also in the win, Bloomfield came up big against Red Jacket, Marcus Whitman handled HAC, and a packed house at the Jack Guinan Gymnasium in Ovid saw South Seneca dispense with rival Romulus, 52-37.Meanwhile in the FL East, the three top teams in the standings kept pace with each other as Pal-Mac snuck by Waterloo 67-61 despite 24 from Waterloo’s Ben Deming, Mynderse defeated Wayne by 20, and Newark went on the road to earn a 12 point win over Midlakes thanks to 17 points from Jose Santell. Also in the East, Penn Yan defended home court against Geneva with a 3 point win thanks to 17 points from Desmond Battin. In the lone Wayne County game, the Lyons Lions early season struggles continue as they fell to Enrique Moseman and Gananda, 57-47. Lyons freshman Justice Smith had 17 points while senior center Jordan Aumell had another strong outing with 16. Moseman led all scorers with 24.On Wednesday night, the game of the year so far in Wayne County will be played in Wolcott as undefeated East Rochester will face the undefeated North Rose-Wolcott Cougars. The game is set to tip at 6:30 pm.Full results, updated standing and more below…W-FL TUESDAY NIGHT BOYS SCOREBOARDGeneva 44, Penn Yan 47 GEN (1-7) Jemar McCall 8; Tyler Tyson 8PY (4-3) Desmond Battin 17; Sean Emerson 13Newark 62, Midlakes 50 NEW (5-2) Jose Santell 17 (8/8 FTs); Nate Beard 16MID (4-3) – Bryce Burri 18; Daryn Carswell 11; Ken DeVey 11Waterloo 61, Palmyra-Macedon 67 WAT (1-6) Ben Deming 24; Dikembe Ayers 16PM (6-2) Hunter VanDeVelde 19, 10 reb; Davon McClain 15, 6 reb; Brandon Hawkins 10Wayne 31, Mynderse 51 WYN (4-3) Logan Blankenberg 13 (4-3pt); Billy Thomson 11MYN (7-1) Devin Anderson 12 (4-3pt); Jake Jones 9; Ben Cafolla 8, 10 reb; Jake Mein 12 rebBloomfield 51, Red Jacket 44 BLM (5-3) Wyatt Conklin 18; Haiden Ward 17RJK (4-4) Dan Brown 12; Dan Colasurdo 10Dundee 49, Naples 50 DUN (7-1) Andrew Clark 16NAP (7-1) Andrew Fleischman 21, 13 rebHAC 50, Marcus Whitman 71 HAC (0-6) Luke Nicosia 16, 7 reb; Jamaar Paisley 10MW (4-3) Burlin Allen 15, 7 ast; Brad Stone 14, 12 rebSouth Seneca 52, Romulus 37 SS (2-6) Lincoln Backman-Lowe 13; Cullen Marrella 13ROM (0-8) Bragon Passamonte 13Lyons 47, Gananda 57 LYO (1-7) Justice Smith 17; Jordan Aumell 15GAN (3-3) Enrique Mosman 24Victor 61, Greece-Olympia 50 VIC (5-3) – Jacob DiSanto 21 (4-3pt)GOL (1-7) – Will Green 17, 2 stlUPCOMING BOYS SCHEDULE:WEDNESDAY, DEC. 23#6 East Rochester @ #3 North Rose-Wolcott Red Creek @ MarionSodus @ #10 Clyde-SavannahUPCOMING WEBCASTSW-FL BOYS BASKETBALL STANDINGSFINGER LAKES EASTT1 — 4-1 / 7-1 Mynderse Blue DevilsT1 — 4-1 / 6-2 Pal-Mac Red RaidersT1 — 4-1 / 4-3 Newark Reds04 — 3-2 / 4-3 Penn Yan MustangsT5 — 2-3 / 4-3 Midlakes Screaming EaglesT5 — 2-3 / 4-3 Wayne Eagles07 — 1-4 / 1-7 Geneva Panthers08 — 0-5 / 1-6 Waterloo Indians FINGER LAKES WEST01 — 6-1 / 7-1 Dundee ScotsT2 — 5-1 / 7-1 Naples Big GreenT2 — 5-1 / 5-3 Bloomfield BombersT4 — 4-3 / 4-4 Red Jacket IndiansT4 — 4-3 / 4-3 Marcus Whitman Wildcats06 — 3-3 / 4-3 Honeoye Bulldogs07 — 2-4 / 2-6 South Seneca FalconsT8 — 0-6 / 0-8 Romulus WarriorsT8 — 0-6 / 0-6 H.A.C.
