The Waterloo Police Department reports officers arrested James A. Rosenberger, of 24 Fayette Street in Waterloo, on Wednesday with Aggravated DWI having .18 BAC or higher, Driving While Intoxicated, failure to signal turn, failure to keep right, unsafe backing, and failure to yield right of way to an emergency vehicle. The charges stem from a traffic stop on Fayette Street in the Village of Waterloo where it is alleged that Rosenberger failed to signal a turn and failed to keep to the right on Fayette Street. After stopping, Rosenberger then put his vehicle in reverse and backed into a Waterloo Police patrol vehicle. Rosenberger was found to be intoxicated and subsequently arrested. After conducting a breath test, Rosenberger’s blood alcohol content was .32. Rosenberger was released on traffic tickets and is to appear in the Village of Waterloo Court on January 13th, 2016 at 5:00 pm.
