On Wednesday the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested Angelina M. Ely, age 24 of 41 Haigh Street in Seneca Falls, following a joint investigation conducted by members of the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and members of the Seneca Falls Police Department Criminal Investigation Division. It is alleged that Ely allowed people to sell illicit drugs from her home at 41 Haigh Street in the Town of Seneca Falls and also assisted in the selling of those illicit drugs. One of those suspects, Mary C. Atkachonis, age 32, was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office and the Seneca Falls Police Department on November 5, 2015 for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony, stemming from this investigation. Ely was charged with:Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, a Class D Felony, Conspiracy in the Fourth Degree, a Class E Felony, Criminal Nuisance in the First Degree, a Class E FelonyEly was arraigned in the Junius Town Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $1,000 cash bail/$2,000 secured bond. Ely is to reappear in the Seneca Falls Town Court on December 14, 2015 at 5:30 pm. The investigation is continuing and additional charges on Ely and other suspects may be pending.
