The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on December 1st at approximately 7 pm Deputies responded to 609 Lasher Road in the Town of Junius for the report of a domestic dispute. It is alleged that Clifford Bennett Sr., 55 of 771 Smith Road in Clyde, was involved in a verbal and physical altercation with a 15 year old family member while in close proximity to a 13 month old child. Bennett was charged with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and one count of Criminal Obstruction of Breathing. Bennett was arraigned at the Town of Junius Court where he was released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to re-appear on December17th at 7 pm for further court action. Orders of protection were issued on behalf of the children.
