Local Waterloo actors present holiday classic

On Friday, December 18th at 7 pm, Joshua Mull and Patricia Roth Schwartz of Waterloo, both participants in The SageThyme Players, a part of The Literary Guild of Finger Lakes of which the two are founding members, will present a readers’ theater of “A Christmas Memory” to be held in Fatzinger Hall of the Waterloo Library and Historical Society at 31 East Williams Street in Waterloo. This holiday classic was the first published short story by the esteemed writer, Truman Capote. An endearing favorite, this story is autobiographical, sharing with readers the way young Truman, who had no real family, would usually celebrate Christmas with his little dog Queenie and his elderly cousin who was like a grandmother to him.Following the presentation will be some other brief readings of holiday-themed work featuring pieces on the winter solstice and Christmas. The evening will end with free refreshments.
