As the cold weather begins to settle in, it is time to take steps to winterize your home and look at other ways to reduce your energy consumption that will translate into more money in your pocket. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Seneca County is offering a free workshop, entitled “Save Energy, Save Dollars”, to learn money saving tips for your home. During this one and a half hour workshop participants will learn no-cost and low cost ways to conserve energy, how to make a home more energy-efficient and how to get help weatherizing a home. This information is relevant during the heating and cooling seasons, as well as all year long with information on energy use of appliances and lighting. There will be a door prize of an Energy-Saving Kit worth $15 and each participant will receive a compact florescent light bulb. Workshops will be held at the following times and locations:Wednesday, December 2nd from 6:30 PM-8 PM at the Seneca Falls Library, 47 Cayuga Street, Seneca FallsThursday, December 3rd from 6:30 PM-8 PM at the Lodi Whittier Library, 8390 Main Street, LodiThursday, December 10th from 6 PM-7:30PM at the Edith B. Ford Memorial Library, 7169 N. Main Street, OvidWednesday, December 16th from 5 PM -6:30 PM at the Waterloo Library, 31 E.
