Syracuse tops UConn in Thanksgiving thriller

The Syracuse Orange had five players score in double-digits as they held of the UConn Huskies, 79-76, in the semifinal round of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in the Bahamas on Thursday afternoon. Syracuse will face Texas A&M in the tournament finals on Friday at 3:00 pm. Highlights, press conference, and more below…Game Spotlights:– Syracuse was led by the senior back court duo of Mike Gbinije and Trevor Cooney who led the Orange scoring with 17 points each. Gbinije also added 7 assists and 6 steals with just one turnover.- Syracuse freshman Tyler Lydon continued his great play on Thanksgiving Day with a 16 point, 12 rebound. Syracuse also got production from another freshman, Malachi Richardson, who scored 14 points and pulled down 6 rebounds.- Syracuse had 5 players log over 30 minutes (Cooney 39, Gbinije 39, Roberson 37, Lydon 35, Richardson 32). DaJuan Coleman started and logged 13 minutes.
