The Town of Seneca Falls Police Department would like to notify the community that on Monday November 23rd at 4:19 pm, a Patrol Officer responded to East Bayard Street for a report of a Suspicious / Attempted Luring incident.It was reported that a white male with orange or red hair, no glasses, possible beard and mustache, operating a newer, white /four door sedan, stopped a 10 year old child in (2) separate driveways as she was walking home from a friend’s house. Each time the male opened the passenger side door from inside the vehicle and had conversation with the child. Each time the child declined his invitation and the male/vehicle left, possibly in a west bound direction on East Bayard Street. There was no physical contact between the male and child, and the child was walking on the sidewalk. The child immediately informed her parent’s upon arriving home.Police are requesting that parent’s use this time to remind children how to handle contact with strangers and how to be aware of their surroundings.Anyone with information, or anyone witnessing a suspicious condition is asked to contact the Town of Seneca Falls Police at 315.568.4850 or 911.
