Local high school basketball season is underway

The 2015-16 area high school basketball season gets off to a start in a major way on Saturday with a quadruple header at New York Chiropractic College featuring 7 Wayne-Finger Lakes teams. Prior to the showcase at NYCC in Seneca Falls, games are already underway throughout the Wayne-Finger Lakes leagues and in Section V.On Monday night, Romulus came away from their opener still looking for their first win in three season after losing to Port Byron out of Section III by a score of 79-27. Heading into the fourth quarter, Port Byron held a 63-13 advantage. Nick Hobby led the way for the winning side with 24 points while Kyle Bennett paced the Warriors with 8 points.
