Auburn PD investigating attempted robbery

The Auburn Police Department is investigating the attempted robbery of a male at the Key Bank night deposit box in downtown Auburn. The attempted robbery occurred at approximately 6:30 pm on Sunday November 22, while the victim was attempting to make a deposit in the outdoor night deposit box. The suspect is male of unknown race and he concealed his face and appears to be wearing gloves. He is 5’7” to 5’9” tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket with an unknown lettering on the back right shoulder, jeans with the cuffs rolled up and dark boots or sneakers. The suspect was dropped off in the immediate vicinity prior to the robbery attempt. The vehicle he exited is a 4 door pickup truck gray or black in color.
