Community Thanksgiving Dinner in Seneca Falls

When the Seneca Falls Downtown Deli, who hosted a Thanksgiving Community Dinner for 18 years could no longer continue, there was a great deal of concern that many of the individuals that had been served, especially seniors and Veterans, would face a very quiet and lonely holiday. The void was filled.Following in the Downtown Deli’s generous footsteps, The Seneca Falls Elks Lodge, along with the Seneca County House of Concern and T.R.A.C. Team will be hosting a Community Thanksgiving Dinner at the Seneca Falls Elk Lodge #992 at 2221 River Road, Seneca Falls on Thursday, November 26th, from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. The dinner will be open to all residents of Seneca County, Veterans and those in need of a place to go who have not received other Thanksgiving services or assistance. It will be a buffet-style meal with delivery available to those with an absolute need. There’s still time to call (315) 568-2433 to register for deliveries or transportation. Walk-ins are welcome. Volunteers are needed on Wednesday, November 25th, 2016 for preparation and set up and also on Thanksgiving Day.For more information about the dinner or to volunteer call Rhonda Pollino at 315-568-2433 or email at [email protected] Order of Elks of the United states of America invest in their communities through programs that help children grow up healthy and drug-free, by undertaking projects that address unmet need, and by honoring the service and sacrifice of our veterans. The House of Concern has been a source of assistance for people in difficult situations for over 46 years, feeding minds with knowledge, stomachs with food and hearts with hope.T.R.A.C.
