On Tuesday at about 10:39 am the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators arrested William R. Staples, age 29 of 8376 Main Street Apartment Five in Interlaken, on a Bench Warrant issued out of the Covert Town Court for failing to appear on a charge of Criminal Sale of Marijuana in the Fifth Degree. While taking Staples into custody, Sheriff’s Investigators located a quantity of unlawfully possessed oxycodone in his possession. Staples was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor. Staples was arraigned on both charges before Justice VanCleef in the Lodi Town Court. Staples was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $250 cash bai l/$500 secured bond and is to reappear in the Covert Town Court on December 7 at 10 am.
