South Seneca students selected for Area All-State

Congratulations are in order for some very talented South Seneca students who were selected from thousands of students across New York State to participate in the Area All-State Festival this year. It takes a great deal of hard work to be accepted into this ensemble by performing NYSSMA solos each spring and growing to achieve this honor of selection to the ensemble. Students will work with guest conductors Ken Brown for Orchestra, Yvonne Allen for Band, Derrick Fox for Mixed Chorus, and Heather Eyerly for Women’s Chorus. The South Seneca music students will be traveling to Cortland on November 6-7 to rehearse with guest conductors and with students from all over New York State for band, orchestra and choral groups. They will perform a concert on Saturday November 7th starting at 3:00 pm. The open to the public concert takes place at Cortland Jr./Sr. High School. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. This will be a truly exciting opportunity for each of them and also a tremendous honor.Area-All State Students from South Seneca; pictured (l-r): Julia Hubbard (9th Gr.)
