Arrest made in Waterloo Sunoco hold-up

On September 19, 2015 at approximately 11 pm The Waterloo Police Department responded to the Sunoco Express Mart in the Village of Waterloo for the report of a male that displayed a handgun and demanded money from the store clerk and then fled the store on foot.Upon further investigation, it was determined that a person dressed in dark clothing, with their face hidden entered the store and pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk refused to hand over any money and fled to a rear office. The gunman then moved his position to see the clerk in this room and he again pointed the handgun at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk closed the door to the room and called 911. The suspect then fled the store without stealing any property.On November 4, 2015 the Waterloo Police Department completed the investigation resulting in the following arrest:Colter J. Morrison age 29 was arrested and charged with Attempted Robbery in the Second Degree. Morrison was arraigned in the Village of Waterloo Court before Judge Struzik where he was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 secured bond. A future court date was set for Morrison to answer the charge.In an unrelated event, Morrison was also charged with Grand Larceny in the fourth degree. It is alleged that Morrison stole property from a Village of Waterloo residence where he was living for a short time. Colter was arraigned on this charge at the same time as the Attempted Robbery 2nd where he was committed to jail.
