The Auburn Police Department arrested 25 year old Jeffery S. Marshall of 9031 High Bridge Road in Port Byron on October 13. Marshall was charged with Grand Larceny in the fourth degree and Identity Theft in the second degree which are both felony charges. He was also charged with Petit Larceny, a misdemeanor charge. Marshall was arrested following an Auburn Police Department investigation into the theft and subsequent usage of an Auburn resident’s credit card. Marshall was observed using the credit card on several store video surveillance cameras. Marshall admitted to charging close to $1800.00 worth of merchandise at 5 different retail stores in the Auburn area with the victim’s card. Jeffery Marshall was arraigned in Auburn City Court and was remanded to the Cayuga County Jail. Marshall also has charges pending in the state of Ohio.
