Celebrate Cider Week at the SF Farmers Market

It’s time to celebrate Finger Lakes Cider Week! In tribute to the fall season and cider week, the Seneca Falls Farmers Market will have two local cider makers sampling cider and selling bottled cider. Bellwether Hard Cider of Trumansburg and Three Brothers Winery of Geneva will both be at the market sampling their unique hard ciders. They will also have their ciders available for purchase so you can take some home for all your fall gatherings. We will also have a local sweet cider available for sampling and our two baked goods vendors will be offering fresh, homemade apple fritters and donuts for sale! Relax at a picnic table by the canal and sample local goodness.This is all taking place in People’s Park, Seneca Falls on Wednesday, October 7th from 9 am to 1:30 pm. The event will be in addition to our usual vendors who will have plenty of tomatoes (heirloom and others), apples, grapes, pears, sweet and hot peppers, greens for salads, eggplant, squashes of all kinds, meats, maple syrup, honey, eggs, fresh baked goods, cut flowers, mums, Indian corn, pumpkins, gourds and too many other items to list! But if you come to the park you can see for yourself! Support the local economy and take home everything you need to make your own locavore meal! Lunch will be available from the Finger Lakes Pretzel Factory and Bakery booth. They are a new local business offering fresh pastries, soft pretzels and pretzel wrap sandwiches and hot dogs. They might even have a surprise apple them to celebrate the season. Enjoy the wonderful fall weather in the park by the canal and visit with friends and neighbors and talk to the people who grow, raise and make your food. The market is able to have customers utilize their EBT/SNAP benefits at the market. Swipe your card, get your tokens and shop at the market.
