On onday at 5:00 pm Seneca County Sheriff Office Investigators arrested Rachel Winfield, age 33 of 28 Auburn Road Apt D3 in Seneca Falls, for welfare fraud in the fifth degree. The charge stems from an incident on July 10th in which Winfield obtained $735.00 in public benefits she was not entitled to. Winfield was arraigned in the Town of Seneca Falls Court where she was released without bail and is to re-appear in the Village of Waterloo Court on October 8th to answer to the charge.
