Seneca Falls Farmers Market report for 9/30

Yes there is rain in the forecast but don’t let that stop you from heading down to People’s Park tomorrow for the Seneca Falls Farmers’ Market from 9AM to 1:30PM. The vendors will still be there rain or shine, ready to sell you their just picked produce and other locally produced or made items. So grab a raincoat or umbrella and spend a few minutes in the park supporting your local economy.Lots of produce still available like apples, pears, grapes, pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn, mums, and winter squash plus tomatoes, hot and sweet peppers, beets, onions, carrots, cauliflower, summer squash, eggplant, raspberries, blackberries, plums, cut flowers, hand sewn items, handmade jewelry, baked goods, meat, honey, eggs, maple syrup, maple flavored popcorn and much more. Come down and use your food stamp (EBT/SNAP) benefits at the market! Also stop by the CCE tent where a CCE nutrition educator will be sampling butternut squash egg bake dish and recipes will be available. A Master Preserver will be on hand to answer any canning, freezing or preserving questions you might have.Lunch will be available from the Finger Lakes Pretzel Factory and Bakery booth. They are a new local business offering fresh pastries, soft pretzels and pretzel wrap sandwiches and hot dogs. Come and try something from them at the market.Besides the abundance of fresh, just picked veggies and fruits and other edibles, don’t forget about the handmade jewelry, vintage lavender filled linens, Watkins products, some really cute little girls skirts and dresses made from bandannas, plants in pretty pots, cut and dried flowers and mum plants.
