Cornell University Police issued an alert over the weekend after they received a report that a man had entered an apartment and tried to remove a sleeping woman’s underwear.According to police, the intruder entered the apartment in the 300 block of Bryant Avenue in Collegetown shortly after 3 am on Sunday.A Cornell University student who lives in the apartment and the woman woke up and saw a silhouette. The intruder then ran from the apartment.The Ithaca Police Department is investigating the case, described as a burglary and attempted forcible touching sex offense. They are looking for a suspect described as a 6′ tall, 155 pound male.Anyone with any information can call Ithaca police at (607) 272-3245.
