On Saturday at approximately 5:15 pm the Penn Yan Police Department arrested Anthony Cerciho, age 33 of Boonton NJ, for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd following an investigation into a property damage accident that occurred on Brown Street in the Village of Penn Yan.Cerciho was arraigned in Village Court and released on his own and is to appear in Village Court at a later date to answer the charge.Debra Vangelder, age 58 of Pre Emption Road, was arrested by Penn Yan Police Department on Friday following an investigation into a larceny complaint at the Dollar General.It is alleged that Vangelder took several items from the store and passed all points of sale without paying for them. Vangelder was charged with petit larceny, arraigned in the Village Court, and remanded to the Yates County Jail in lieu of $500/$1,000 bail/bond. Vangelder is to appear in Village Court at a later date to answer the charge.Jemitha Soles, age 50 of Main Street in Penn Yan, was arrested on Saturday following an investigation into a noise complaint. Soles allegedly attempted to strike Police Officers with a door, attempted to kick Officers, and then tried to flee before being taken into custody. Soles was charged with resisting arrest, harassment in the second, and disorderly conduct. Soles was arraigned in the Village of Penn Yan Court and remanded to the Yates County Jail in lieu of $500/$1,000 bail/bond. Soles is to appear in Village Court at a later date to answer the charges.
