PY Police Department makes several arrests

On Monday the Penn Yan Police Department made several arrests during the course of the evening. Four people were arrested at the Village Court after turning themselves in on outstanding warrants.-Edward Sanford , age 22 of Himrod Road in Penn Yan, arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.-Gregory Shaut, age 29 of North Main Street in Penn Yan, arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.-Thomas Vanakin, age 47 of Old Lyons Road in Lyons, arrested on a warrant for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the third.-Joseph Mozgawa, age 42 of Bodie Hill Road in Owego, arrested on a warrant for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the third.Also arrested were two sixteen year olds that are not eligible for Youthful Offender status.-Raymond McLoud, age 16 of Loree Road in Penn Yan, for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Contempt in the second. McLoud was observed by Officers attempting to fight another youth while on Keauka Street. He was arrested and taken to Penn Yan Village Court and while inside the court room, McLoud began to raise his voice and began shouting obscene language at another attendee, disrupting the court. He was arraigned and sent to the Yates County Jail with bail set at $500 cash $1000 property bond. -Angela Bruno, age 16 of Vine Road in Penn Yan, for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the fifth, after Police investigated the theft of stereo equipment that occurred on September 14th. Bruno, along with two other accomplices, took the equipment to a local pawn shop for cash. Bruno was arraigned and sent to the Yates County Jail on no bail.-Amber Tennies, age 41 of Vine Road in Penn Yan, was arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Tennies was charged after failing to exercise reasonable diligence in the control of her 16 year old child and allowing the child to become juvenile delinquent and/or a person in need of supervision. Tennies was arraigned and released on her own recognizance.
