Sheriff Deputies report that on September 8th at 3:20 pm Deputies arrested Nikolas P. Sinn, age 23 of 2115 Chapman Street in Ovid, for two counts of petit larceny and one count Scheme to Defraud. Deputies report that Sinn sold a fire fighting helmet over a Facebook group to two separate individuals and never sent the item to them. The first victim from Pennsylvania and second victim from California learned that they had purchased the same items then contacted the Sheriff’s Office to report the incident. Sinn was arrigned in the Town of Ovid court and committed on $1500 cash / $3000 bond and is to return to the Town of Ovid court on September 15th to answer the charges.
