On September 6th the Penn Yan Police Department arrested David P. Mahan, age 24 of Bellona, for Felony DWI following the investigation of a disabled vehicle on Lake Street.Officers observed a vehicle that appeared to be disabled in the roadway near the intersection of Lake Street and Liberty Street. Officers made contact with Mahan and an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected. Mahan was placed through a series of field sobriety tests which he failed and was subsequently placed under arrest.Mahan was arraigned in Penn Yan Village Court and remanded to the Yates County Jail in lieu of $1500 bail $3000 bond. He is to appear in the Village Court at a later date to answer the charges.
