On August 29th the Penn Yan Police Department responded to the scene of a heroin overdose with Penn Yan Ambulance at a residence on Elm Street in the Village of Penn Yan.Upon arrival at the scene police encountered an unconscious male. Officers administered Naloxone and the male did recover from the overdose. He was taken to S & S Hospital for further treatment. This is the ninth time that Penn Yan Officers have used Naloxone to assist with a drug overdose since the Naloxone program was started.
