On August 31st the Penn Yan Police Department arrested Anthony A. McCarthy, 30 of 110 Wagener Street in Penn Yan, with four counts of issuing a bad check. McCarthy issued three checks to the Library Restaurant totaling $300 and one check to Morgan’s Grocery in the amount of $39.98 all on an account with insufficient funds. McCarthy was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charges in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
