On Friday the Penn Yan Police Department arrested Frederick L. Jensen Jr., age 69 of Penn Yan, for Felony DWI Common Law, Felony DWI .08% or Greater, Failure to Yield to a Pedestrian, and Failure to Comply.Officers observed Jensen allegedly fail to yield the right of way for a pedestrian to cross Elm Street in the village, and did not comply when officers attempted to stop the vehicle. After Officers made contact with Jensen, an odor of alcohol was detected. Jensen was placed through a series of standardized field sobriety tests and transported to the Yates County Jail for a breath test which showed he had a BAC of .13%.Jensen was released on tickets and is to appear in the Village Court at a later date.
