On August 26th at 4:30 pm Seneca County Sheriff Investigators arrested Joanne M. Campbell, age 36 of 175 Driving Park Circle in Newark and Jeffrey W. Laplant, age 29 of 5689 Clark Road in Newark, for the burglary in the third degree, criminal mischief in the third degree and petit larceny. The charges stem from an investigation into a burlgary at a Town of Junius business in which Campbell and Laplant broke the front window to the busines. They pair gained entry to the safe and stole $512.52. They were arrested in Clinton County Ohio as they fled state from the crime. Sheriff’s Investigators went to Ohio and transported Campbell and Laplant back to Seneca County where they were arraigned in the Town of Junius Court. Campbell was remanded to the Seneca County Jail on $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond bail. Laplant is being held with out bail and both are to re-appear in the Town of Junius Court on August 31, 2015 to answer to the charges.
