The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Saturday shortly before 5 pm, Deputies responded to 9472 Caywood Shores Road in Lodi for a boat that was on fire while attached to a hoist.Upon deputies’ arrival, the boat was fully engulfed and the Lodi Fire Department was extinguishing the blaze.The owner of the boat, 48-year-old Paul F. Schutt, informed Deputies that he was working on the boat motor when some gasoline that was spilled onto the manifold caught fire.The 1987 Wellcraft was a total loss and was insured.Deputies report no injuries.
