Seneca Falls has a new radar trailer

The Town of Seneca Falls Police Department, led by police chief Stuart Peenstra, have been working to increase the safety of the Town of Seneca Falls roadways. Every year hundreds of people are killed or seriously injured in motor vehicle accidents in New York State, and Seneca Falls is not immune to this fact.From Left: Seneca Falls Police Chief Stuart Peenstra, Seneca Meadows community relations director Mark Benjamin, and Lieutenant Tim SnyderLieutenant Tim Snyder reached out to Seneca Meadows landfill with assistance in meeting that goal, and what resulted was the landfill providing the town with a grant to pay for half of a speed monitoring system to be used throughout the roadways of Seneca Falls. The speed trailer has just been placed into service just in time for the upcoming school year as more and more children are out and about on area roads. The unit is solar powered with a battery backup system. “Seneca Meadows continued partnership with the Seneca Falls Police Department has benefitted all residents of Seneca Falls, and we are pleased to continue the partnership with them well into the future,” offered Chief Peenstra.
