The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Thursday at 10:50 am Deputies arrested William H. Merrill, age 39 of Grant Avenue in Auburn, for Criminal Contempt in the 1st. Sheriff’s Deputies report that the charge stems from Merrill sending a letter to a protected party which violated an order of protection for him to have no contact . Merrill was arraigned in the Town of Waterloo Court and committed to jail with no bail and is to reappear at the Town of Waterloo Court on August 11th to answer to the charge.
