Seneca County Sheriff’s Investigators report the arrest of Daniel J. Delpriore, age 34 of Highland Place in Clifton Springs, on Friday following a lengthy investigation. Delpriore was charged with one count each of Official Misconduct, Stalking in the Fourth Degree and Coercion in the Second Degree. The Official Misconduct and Coercion charge in this case stem from allegations in which the female victim who had a prior relationship with Delpriore attempted unsuccessfully to return property to him which he had provided her with. The victim tried to sever ties with Delpriore and repeatedly advised him not to contact her.It is alleged that Delpriore who is a Code Enforcement Officer employed by the Town of Palmyra and also the Village of Macedon then tried to use his position as a public servant and his working relationship with area law enforcement officials against the victim to coerce her into continuing a physical relationship with him. Delpriore did this by instilling fear in the victim to meet his requests or face being arrested for stealing his property which he had previously provided her with. The charge of stalking in the fourth degree is a result of Delpriore engaging in a course of conduct where he continued to initiate unwanted contact with the victim, her family members or acquaintances for no legitimate purpose causing emotional anguish to the victim after being clearly informed by law enforcement to cease all contact.Delpriore appeared before the Town of Tyre Court for an arraignment on all charges at which time he was remanded to the custody of the Seneca County Sheriff in lieu of $2,000.00 cash bail or $4,000.00 insured bond. Delpriore is scheduled to appear in the Town of Waterloo Court on August 12th 2015 at 1:30 pm to answer the charges.
