Swimmers will be Making Waves for Hospice on Saturday, August 8th, 2015. This seasoned special event has a new location at Kershaw Park in Canandaigua and new optional timed waves timed by “Score This!!!” for 2015. There is a $35.00 registration fee and swimmers are also strongly encouraged to seek pledges for this event. Ontario-Yates Hospice Fundraising Goal for this event is $15,000. Beginning at 7 am, four waves of swimmers will depart in 10 minute intervals beginning with ½ mile then 1 mile timed, then ½ mile and 1 mile untimed. Swimmers select their wave when they register online.Participants may register or make a donation at HEREOntario-Yates Hospice, a program of Finger Lakes Visiting Nurse Service, is a service for people who have made a conscious decision not to pursue curative treatment for a life-limiting illness.
