SF’s Clinton’s Follies Vaudeville Show audition notice

America’s got talent for sure, but people who perform variety acts may find they don’t have many opportunities to show off their specialties. Now they do, in a production sponsored by Seneca Community Players as part of the After The Falls: Van Cleef Lake Centennial celebration. Clinton’s Follies, a 1915-style vaudeville show to be staged Aug. 15 and 16 in Seneca Falls, will showcase the kinds of traditional variety acts that were popular in our nation a century ago. That means jugglers, barbershop quartets, ventriloquists, sleight-of-hand magicians, banjo and accordion players, dancers, trained poodles, singers, etc… now have a venue in which to show their talents. The show will consist of 10-minute acts and a grand finale with everyone on stage. Performers are invited to audition for the Follies beginning at 6:30 pm Monday and Tuesday, July 13 and 14 at 115 Fall Street, (lower level) in Seneca Falls. Costumes are encouraged, and a pianist will be available. No fire or fireworks will be permitted. All acts must be family-friendly. The show will be directed by SCP veteran Carol Ritter Wright. For more information, contact Ritter Wright at (315) 568-5727 or (585) 705-8389.
