Celebrate Seneca Co. Agriculture at the Seneca Co. Fair

Seneca County Cornell Cooperative Extension invites you to Celebrate Seneca County Agriculture, Wednesday July 15, from 6:00 to 8:30 pm in Floral Hall at the Seneca County Fairgrounds at the corner of Swift and North Streets in Waterloo. Experience the diversity of agriculture in Seneca County as you sample products from local agricultural producers. Try some berries from Juneberry Farm and grape flour cupcakes from Sustainable Viticulture Systems. Compare the wines of the Cayuga and Seneca Wine Trails along with local distilled spirits from the Firehouse Distillery and cider from Good Life Farm. Try beers from Wagner Valley Brewing. Learn how to prepare wild game and fish with Mo Tidball from the Wild Harvest Table. Sip some tea from the Finger Lakes Tea Company. Try some local honey from Bienvenue. Find out what is happening at Meadville Farms. These are just some of the businesses and products that will be highlighted on the Fair’s opening night. Products will be available for purchase and to sample. The first 120 people at the CCE booth can enjoy a Seneca County Root Beer Float made from local ice cream from the Cayuga Lake Creamery and root beer from Wagner Valley Brewing. Bring your family and friends. It will be a great time for all with fireworks at 9:30 pm.For nearly 100 years, Seneca County Cornell Cooperative Extension has served the people of the County, putting to practical use the scholarship and research of Cornell University and the national land grant system in the areas of agriculture and food systems sustainability; families, nutrition, health and safety (human ecology); youth development (4-H); environmental and natural resource enhancement; and community and economic vitality.
