The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on July 4th at 9:22 pm the Sheriff Deputies responded to 3365 Potter Road in the Town of Ovid for a structure fire. The home is Owned by John George age 59 of 3932 Morgan Road in The Town of Ovid. Fire Departments from Interlaken, Lodi, Ovid and Trumansburg were called to the scene and extinguished the blaze.Deputies report that the house was being renovated and no one was home at the time of the fire. The Seneca County Fire investigation team was called to the scene and the cause is still under investigation.
